The below image is from The Atlas Society (a pro-liberty/Objectivist group), so it has a rhetorical angle emphasizing government growth vs. individual wages ("your paycheck didn't grow 164%").
But the underlying Census data supports the trend. Property taxes continue rising in many places today, often faster than inflation.
